May 2011 - Texas A&M Racing Wins World Championship
Thomas set the fastest autocross time of the entire event as Texas A&M Racing won SAE's Formula Hybrid World Championship. The team designed, built, and raced a formula race car with a hybrid powertrain. The team also won GM's Best Engineered Hybrid award to close out a dominant performance.
Fall 2010 / Spring 2011 - Driver and Engineer for Texas A&M Racing
Returning to college after an internship, Thomas has been named the driver for Texas A&M Racing’s Formula SAE team. Thomas is currently testing the car and giving the team feedback to tune the suspension. The team will compete in an international collegiate competition in May 2011.
Summer 2010- Ford Motor Company Engineering Intern
Thomas was selected to work at Ford Motor Company as a chassis engineering intern during the summer of 2010. Thomas worked at Ford’s engineering headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan and assisted with prototype suspension and chassis development.
